Lauren Gawne is a co-host and co-creator of Lingthusiasm, a podcast that’s enthusiastic about linguistics, together with Gretchen McCulloch. Lauren is also the writer of Superlinguo, a blog about language and linguistics. She's a Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University, with a PhD from the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on how people use gestures, but she's also interested in the grammar of Tibeto-Burman languages and the use of language and emoji on the internet.
